No, he is not Mark! This is just a Poker Face, that we as an employee see on his face every morning!

As personal self-realization and growth, I have decided to wake up early and make it a long day for me so that I can work and schedule my tasks accordingly. I wanted to take out some time from the packed schedule and give it for reading. I read a beautiful article on CEOs and was devastated and was so related.

Our company has started with a fantabulous startup that serves as Helpdesk Solutions for business owners. It is a kind of all-in-one business suit that will serve the business owners to manage their customer care services. Taking big names into consideration, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerburg. They all are so focused on what they have dreamed of ones. Today, they are behind sustaining the brand and ruling it like no other. What are CEO qualities? Is it born overnight? No, it is the carving of so many factors attached to it.

Working almost 100 hours a week, with lesser but focused sleep, calculating the time in seconds, mind always on new ideas and implementation, waking up in the middle of the night, and going through phone for checking work emails. It is purely like a prayer.

People always think that they have “something” to make them sustainable for working this much and bringing up the energy. Well, talking about caffeine, Mark Zukerberg is on zero caffeine consumption, Elon only drinks two cups of coffee. It is not always caffeine to sustain. It is the curiosity and urges to complete something that is stuck that one thing in mind and is just reaching where they have desired.

Let me draft a situation of the CEO’s life. I am working under the marvelous company and of course, want to be so honest here, that we are “developing” but with 100% of dedication and hard work. So the situation is, it is almost 7 PM and employees are moving back to their home after a day at the office. It is that one person who is staying late and working. Going home tired late at night with various thoughts on “how will I do it”? Well, that thought does not need any power booster of “caffeine”, “drugs” or any other consumption. That one thought is enough to make that wanna-be CEO work 100 hours a week. Parking lots are empty, there is the night that is leading you home with continuous thoughts in mind. You are unable to sleep, and so to not let go of something that is there in your mind, you keep on checking and updating yourself with the information of your startup.

This is life for years! While I write this I feel a lot of energy consumed. What is the reason behind so much energy?

Myth About the Sleep Deprivation and cut-off!

I have always heard, “Sleep early, otherwise there will be a bad day tomorrow”. Your mind needs a rest, and who said it is important to work till midnight and then get up at 4? The 7 hours of sleep is not just here but a pure necessity! Your mind needs to get refreshed, nourished to get that “idea” running smoothly. I have always heard this. To sleep properly is always sustainable and working.

Some CEOs are strongly under the blanket and yet sustaining!

Coming back to someone who I work with. I will not name it, but let’s keep “Mark”, looks professional, right! So I work with Mark, and as I work with someone who is developing the emperor of his own, you have a lot to learn from them. Truly you do not want to lose anything that they are going through, they learned, and how they will overcome next.

Not all CEOs have passed from reputed institutions. Mark has not even completed an eligible course for it. There was just one aim, and that was to make money out of what he learned, knows, and will learn along with the journey. There was raw food on the plate, and sometimes no food at all. Forgetting the hunger of the lavish food as a teenager, the one always aimed to eat the raw food and work for the better tomorrow. Today he is on to one marvelous startup as mentioned earlier, and truly I did not want to get late writing this article about it mentioning for those who are doing handwork. From no proper desk to the marvelous office with 25+ staff in short spam, the journey is never easy but always something that makes it worth aiming.

When I ask about the journey, he is never sad but sounds more inspiring and pushes us to work for what we have aimed for. This is what I witness as a true quality in a person who is purely in making. He never wants appreciation but always wants to be better. One who truly enjoys the journey despite the unbelievable struggle is what Mark conveyed to look for in life.

Something To Always Remember!

We think about the lavish life of the CEO, but nobody thought about that day were even eating good food was not affordable. It is not always drinking, consuming drugs, and caffeine. It is always sour relationships, no relaxing, no friends, and yet a poker face the next morning managing it with a smile to be in making.

What I learned from Mark is Eat, take short breaks, have a conversation face to face out of work, to carry on with some marvelous thoughts ahead. No, it is not easy, no it is not lavish, it is just like a lotus still managing to bloom out of dirty mud.
